the Gory Details

I’m not your average college student. I’m not your average anything really. I’m a Christian, but I’m so much more. I’m a young woman who is so in love with her savior that she made the conscious decision to turn her back on the ways of the world(For the most part, I mean… Starbucks and Pumas don’t really count.. Do they?). Now you’ve got this picture of a girl in your head, but she’s nothing like me. She was probably raised within a picture perfect world and has never known “real pain,” she probably has no idea what the “real world” is like for that matter. No, I’m not that girl. My mom likes to call me eclectic. I’m just me. I don’t fit neatly into any kind of pattern you’ll attempt to label me with, I will always be a little more than that. I like the things I like without regard to what anyone thinks about it. God made me the way I am, with the personality I have, and I intend to take full advantage of that. This blog started during my first internship with my home church, I want to be a youth and children’s minister you see, but it has become so much more than that. This blog is my sanctuary. Feel free to look around and explore the things going on inside my head,  feel free to leave me little messages of love, but I request that you do so with respect for myself and for my blogging family. Do no disturb my sanctuary, I need it to be a safe place. Thank you.
