Just Another Week At The Office…
…except that it has been ANYTHING but that. With all of the resent storms, we have experienced(this week alone) flooding, power surges, downed computer systems, alarm system failure, and much more! Also, the behemoth has died. That’s right, my beloved 1991 Buick took it’s last breath Tuesday morning as I pulled into the church parking lot and hasn’t moved since. I took the battery up to the guys at O’Reilly’s to check it out, I was up there all day yesterday it felt like, and we made a collective decision that the battery could not be salvaged and that the car had run it’s last leg. SO my mom and I will be on a hunt for a reliable, if not glamorous, vehicle for myself.
It feels as if it’s been the longest week of my life. I’m glad it’s over. I love working at the church, I love being involved in the problem solving and talking with the parishioners, but I need a break. Tomorrow I will be helping my roommate from school, who also happens to be one of my best friends, with a garage sale. It will be good, we haven’t seen each other in a while. Then Saturday is my baby sister’s installation as junior princess for our Job’s Daughters bethel. I’m really proud of her and honored to be her escort. Also, we get to wear pretty dresses. 😉
Anyway, if there’s anyone reading, I thank you. I know that there is more about my life than my job in this post, but as I said before, I haven’t really decided what the main theme of this blog will be.
